Me watching this knowing I'll never use it in my life

Matt one thing I can see being update is adding a circuit board or chip with antennas to make it wireless display and also the same to make it Bluetooth capable as well. Wireless in case you need to connect a device screen wirelessly in case you forgot a cord like hdmi cable in an emergency and Bluetooth in case you have speakers or headphones you want to use instead. Yes I realized you can add adapters but with the limited ports you may need them for other things like keyboard or mouse ect. This isn't a criticism because I find this awesome and amazing but just ideas and recently having friends who ran into similar issues. With them luckily I had my Google Chromecast Ultra to lend them so they could mirror their screens because they had no hdmi cables.

Bro went from normal aluminum to brass aluminum

Pro tip: Don't use Aluminum or Aluminium. It doesn't solder like brass and the only way to get results like this is to heat it MUCH hotter, at least 800'f and use a brazing rod to 'weld' the pieces together. Considering how aluminum melts at 1100'f and the flame on most propane torches are around 2,000'f, it's very easy to over-heat any thin pieces of aluminum and melt them. Lets just say i heard this from a friend and i definitely didn't ruin my display frame yesterday by over-heating it. k? I'll be using thicker aluminum backing panel this time and it should braze fine.

What I'd have done additionally (just personal opinion tho) is link the legs together in the end, so you can be sure they are always at the same angle as each other compared to the monitor. Other than that this is a great DIY project and surely will be made by me in some time.

just want to point out that PLS be careful with MDF and wear a mask because it is a synthetic based machined wood that can cause cancer to the lungs if breathed in to much. just want to point it out because he does say use MDF a lot.

This video is nice but leaves an impression like you could make any laptop LCD into touchscreen by just getting a proper control board. Totally forgets to mention, that for touch capability you need a screen that has touch support to begin with.

with the right powersource, you propably could get it to work as non-portable screen. But I think the addition of a battery like this is great as you still can wire it up to be stationary while you are in a place with wallsockets. It doesnt take away the possibility for stationary use, but allows use on the go where you might not have constant access to a powersource.
