OnePlus Watch review: boring looks, basic features

Scienze e tecnologie

The OnePlus Watch is the first smartwatch from OnePlus. It costs just $159 and lasts up to two weeks between charges, but it also does a lot less than competing smartwatches from Samsung, Fossil, Apple, and others.

I am a Samsung fan, but I gotta give credit to Apple for making such a good working smartwatch. Nearly perfect. But smartphones are more important, anyways.

Can we give the benefit that its first of its generation and third party apps are expected to come along.... the review sounded like u set apple watch as the bench mark and started reviewing.... we wld prefer a brand that takes more money and eventually provides improvements over years rather than a watch thats affordable with basic requirements pf workouts and sleep tracking

Did you just call a watch with a $159 pricetag and Amazfit functionality *cheap*? That's not cheap, it's a rip-off. I'd stick with Huami's (Xiaomi's watch and band manufacturer) offerings for the fraction of OnePlus Watch's price.

This is really entertaining. How relative all of these uses are. For a first time smartwatch buyer it seems fine. But to someone who's done a ton of stuff with a smartwatch it's lacking. I've been around the tech industry long enough to realize I want all these features but I actually only end up using a few. Battery life is what has held me back from buying a smartwatch... that's it. Guess what my opinion of the watch is. Hopefully they'll fix everything they can software wise. Other than that it seems like a great value. Unfortunately getting one seems impossible for the time being.

Am I the only one who likes this?? I think this is what a smartwatch is supposed to be: - at least a 7-day battery life - cheap - display is big & looks really sharp - the usual heartbeat & other sensors - Ip certification - 4gb ram should be enough for music Complaining that it doesn't have a lot of faces? Really?! I don't mind it not having aod. I don't stare at my watch every second lol. At least, it conserves battery. Either way if 1+ decides to they can just push an update to fix that along with the other bugs (as this is new and as y'all know 1+ are known for their very smooth and lag-free devices). And lastly, are you really gonna put your big fingers and 100% effort to try and text on that very little screen? I think this checks all the boxes and the other features that are "missing" are probably gimmicks for other companies to sell it high. I don't wanna see a 6 month later video of this guy saying how he has now love the watch and its "simplicity" lmao
