The Art of Code - Dylan Beattie

Scienze e tecnologie

Software and technology has changed every aspect of the world we live in. At one extreme are the ‘mission critical’ applications - the code that runs our banks, our hospitals, our airports and phone networks. Then there’s the code we all use every day to browse the web, watch movies, create spreadsheets… not quite so critical, but still code that solves problems and delivers services.
But what about the code that only exists because somebody wanted to write it? Code created just to make people smile, laugh, maybe even dance? Maybe even code that does nothing at all, created just to see if it was possible?
Join Dylan Beattie - programmer, musician, and creator of the Rockstar programming language - for an entertaining look at the art of code. We’ll look at the origins of programming as an art form, from Conway's Game of Life to the 1970s demoscene and the earliest Obfuscated C competitions. We’ll talk about esoteric languages and quines - how DO you create a program that prints its own source code? We’ll look at quine relays, code golf and generative art, and we’ll explore the phenomenon of live coding as performance - from the pioneers of electronic music to modern algoraves and live coding platforms like Sonic Pi.

I wonder about Conways Game of life. With the deployment of 3 MRNA strands it might be possible to resurrect dead cells in people, even by recreating the dead cell, which is like a form of resurrecting it. Thoughts on this theory?

You get far with a big advertising budget. When Microsoft gave IBM the first DOS, it wasnt even made by Microsoft, because they couldnt find out to do it, they bought it from some guy. IBM is to blame why we had to live with Microsoft all these years. Without them we would have been far ahead. And not have those bad programmed OS from Microsoft all these years. But working with that crap have given me a lot of money, each month, since 1995, so in that way it have been fun. But sad for the world, I think.

I love all of this except one thing: complex numbers aren't made up, they are necessary for mathematics to make sense. Without them, you could compute 2^Pi but not (-2)^Pi. They are just as "real" as negative numbers are. It makes no sense to have "-2" pencils, but "-2" needs to exist, otherwise you could compute 5-3 but not 3-5. The universe has no preference, it is not logical that one operation works but the other doesn't.

From the look of things and according to experts in the crypto space. This period the perfect time to buy the dip and accumulate irrespective of the bulls being under pressure. Bitcoin moving up is inevitable and would see the price of bitcoin surpass it's all-time highs. The reversal was imminent because obviously, the bitcoin market needed a correction to gather the right momentum to give the bulls more steam and this just makes it the perfect time to invest and accumulate as much as possible. However i see every market as an advantage to make more profits as this is a very good buy zone and also to trade with a working strategy / daily signals, this i have been doing with daily signals which has been so accurate and well profitable, Last month i was able to grow and accumulate a total of 6.8btc with my initial 1. 2btc which you would agree is a very good profits. I see no reason to panic when you can build your portfolio with (@pashmancryto ) on telegram

Rather than writing a program that turns code into music, write a compiler that turns music into code. Maybe all flow control would be done through the drums, while other instruments would control other aspects. For example, the base line might signal various logic and mathematical functions and notes on a piano or guitar might encode data. Use fast arpeggios where 1 note in each loop represents a single character in a string.
